Warren Commission Report

This four-part series presents selected text from the Warren Commission Report. It begins with a summary of the events of November 22, 1963, the apprehension of Lee Harvey Oswald, and a review of his background, including his defection to the Soviet Union. The narrative continues with Oswald’s return to the United States, his activities leading up to the assassination of President Kennedy, and his subsequent death at the hands of Jack Ruby. Later sections cover the planning of the President’s trip to Texas, details of the motorcade, the response of law enforcement, the arrival at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and the swearing in of Lyndon B. Johnson as President of the United States.
